Have recently purchased Palmcricket to handle umpiring and scoring for
my son's North Harbour Representative (Auckland, NZ) under 15 team. I
already had a TREO palm OS phone so loading up and running was dead
easy. We attended a tournament in Hastings, a provincial city 6 hours
to the Sth East of Auckland two weekends ago. |

As a new scorer for my son's cricket team (u12), I quickly
felt very capable scoring a match using this great palm app.
Everyone else in the team loved the detailed report I was able
to send soon after the conclusion of the match, after a hot
sync and using the PC viewer software, and distributed a copy
of the report to the whole team using email. |

Have you noticed that all the reviews so far are 5 star? The
reason is this program is incredible! I'm an absolute beginner
at scorekeeping and this program has me at the table next to
the official scorekeepers. We compare our figures constantly
throughout the match and very rarely is it a problem with the
program (it's either me or the other human at the table who
made a mistake). |

Using this viewer's html export function makes life easier for everyone involved! The resulting html file is beautiful and looks very professional. Gone are the days of transcribing the information from the paper scoresheet. I'm an absolute beginner at scorekeeping and when I score a match using this program, everyone wants to know when I'll be home so they can wait for the html file! |

Life got better(or best?) with P-Cricket. I have used almost all the softwares available for scoring, but found this way ahead on features and ease-of-use. They seem to be adding some nice features every version and it just gets better!! Great job!! |

If you are someone who has scored the paper method and had
trouble balancing the scores then you will find this a real
boon! Easy to use and intuitive to anyone who knows the game,
this actually makes scoring fun! |

Like other reviewers, I've researched portable cricket
scoring systems for some time now and finally decided on
Palmcricket. The very day I registered the software, I scored a
live game very successfully. The only slight frustration was
with my own inability to remember how to close the first
innings. The software was nevertheless intuitive enough for me
to resolve this well before the next innings started, so I
didn't miss a thing. I was scoring alongside two scorers using
the traditional method and was able to help them both correct
and balance their scorebooks. I emailled around the Excel
version of the match summary to everyones amazement. The only
slight negative comment was from a gentleman of the old school
who said he missed the rubbings out and tea stains! |

A great cricket scoring program for the Palm, supports OS 5 devices as well, unlike 'cricket scorer for palm'. It even shows you a cartoon picture when a run is scored, a wicket is taken, etc. Easy-to-use interface, with just one-touch selection of runs scored, wickets taken and extras. A must-have for any Palm owners that like to score for their local cricket club, or on the TV! |

G'day , Well having used palmcricket for a season , i can
state that it is the best scoring program for cricket out
there. I love it . An umpire can keep score out in the middle
of a club match (straight or square leg) and we dont have to be
badgering the scorers for updates all the time. I highly
recomend it. For the small cost it is great. imagine emailing
everyone in the team the scorecard and the viewer . Great Job.

As a scorer who has been scoring International, 1st Class and Grade cricket for 26 years, P-Cricket has suddenly made my life far easier. Gone is the need to keep a running linear scoresheet and balancing each over (with chance of error). It also produces fairly attrative scorecards which I can upload to the internet reducing the need to re-enter the card on to a computer manually at the end of the day. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to upgrades. |

I have been amazed by the simplicity and the effectiveness of this wonderful program. I use it to score whilst umpiring school matches and it makes other programs I have used look useless. Very simple and efficient entry means that I can concentrate on umpiring. The children are constantly amazed at the details I can give them ( current and required run rate, balls faced etc... at touch of a button)and with the speed and efficiency with which I can publish their results (usually before their parents have come to collect them after the game). The program has been the subject of much jealous conversation from other staff on the circuit who still try to use the old fashioned method. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an efficient and user friendly replacement to the infuriating and messy scrawl of paper scoring. |

This is an amazingly simple to use program with fantastic and prompt support from the developer. I use a Palm Zire (only 2MB) without any problem at all (except human error!). I've used this program while doing the traditional paper scoring and it saves heaps of time when double checking information - and everyone loves looking at the "worm"!. I intially used Version 1.27 and when I found a couple of minor problems, I contacted Dev and, low and behold, they were all fixed in the next version! A must for any keen cricket scorer. |

There are very few things in life that one can honestly say that you paid to little for, P-Cricket, without a doubt, falls into this category. It would still be great value for money at twice the price. Having been through, and purchased, two other Palm cricket scoring applications before P-Cricket, I was on the verge of giving up when I found P-Cricket and put a trial copy to the test. Although not the cheapest of the scoring apps for the Palm it is, without a doubt, the best of the 3 that I purchased. It is amazingly simple to use, it is extremely easy to correct errors and the stats are simply amazing. I umpire both school and club matches on weekends while scoring with P-Cricket and find that often the scorers are incorrect and that P-Cricket is essential especially in resolving scoring conflicts between league scorers. Having purchased what I perceived to be the 3 best scoring applications for cricket on the Palm platform I can honestly recommend P-Cricket as both an Umpire and a Manager of cricket teams. |

Fantastic tool, I am using it while umpiring an although I carry my ticker in my pocket in case something goes wrong, after nearly 15 matches never needed it. With the same effort as using a clicker you have so many information on hand and easy to learn as well. I recommend it to all umpires, scorers and anyone interrested in cricket. Recently I downloaded the P-cricket software primarily to be used as a companion to the scorebook for scoring in the Under 16 WJ Dowling Shield (Victoria, Australia)carnival during January 2003. After scoring several games leading up to the tournament I quickly became familiar with its ease of use and many features. It keeps track of every delivery and event and using a Palm Vx I was comfortably able to score 110 overs in a day. The software has extensive edit capabilities and accurately keeps track of overs and batting scores. So even when your not sure who the batsman is the software knows. Each game can be saved to the pc and a full scoresheet can be produced using the PC Viewer software. |

I have been using P-Cricket since the beginning of the 2002 cricket season in New Jersey, USA. We scored quite a few matches with the older version of this program and it worked flawlessly. The scoring is effortless. I even umpired a few games and scored at the same time. Compared to paper based scoring, this is a 10x improvement in information feedback and speed. |

I tried several of the palm/handheld programs and had problems with all of them until I came across P-cricket - it is excellent - it's updated fairly regularly, the author obviously cares about suggestions and improvements and there is already a lot of thought behind the software. One of its strong points is flexibility. It's possible to correct mistakes immediately or retrospectively, the display is comprehensive and easy to use whilst lots of other things are going on (a strong point for those of us using it to score in club cricket where there are many interruptions) and it's even possible to use it whilst umpiring (not true of some of the other programs). Response time is very good too, so you don't have to wait until the end of an over to give information to people. |

Just like the others say - simple and brilliant. I'd rate it 8/9 out of 10. With someone of little knowledge of the game, I was up and running within minutes. The best thing is you can spend 90% time watching or coaching and 10% scoring. Whilst scoring in parallel with a traditional "book" scorer, on a number of occasions we turned to P-Cricket for the correct result. Bravo !! Cabris Crick Club, Cote d'Azur, South France |

I've used this for a season and it is really great especially for coaches who also have to umpire games. And you have all the information you need on hand always up to date. |
|

I've tried the demos of several palm scorers and also Windows scorers, this is by far the easiest to use and has the best features. The associated viewer allows you to print a traditional detailed score book entry including all balls bowled. This is a great plus. Keep up the good work |

Far and away the best cricket scoring program for the Palm OS. Makes keeping track of the game even while umpiring or coaching a breeze. All the games statistics are instantly at your fingertips, and it is a snap to use. |
